From a new Novice through Academy, First Aid Boxes, job changes, Achievements, Eden, Rebirth and Episode progression.

Getting Started on RagnaKon

RagnaKon follows an official-style progression path with a few carefully selected convenience systems. New players begin as Novices, learn the game through Criatura Academy, choose their first job, progress through normal class quests, and eventually unlock Eden, Rebirth, Achievements and Episode content.

Recommended: do not rush past the Academy on your first character. It introduces Navigation, Kafra services, equipment, skills and the first-job route.

Before You Launch RagnaKon

1. Install Korean language support in Windows to prevent tiny or broken Ragnarok text.

2. Use only the official RagnaKon download.

3. If antivirus blocks trusted RagnaKon files, add the game folder as an exception instead of disabling antivirus.

4. Run the RagnaKon Patcher as Administrator and let it finish updating before starting the game.

MVP exception: the MVP-card modifier and direct MVP reward modifier are kept at 1×. Special map drops and equipment-granted drops have their own separate modifiers. You can use @rates in-game to check the server's current rates.

A newly created character starts with basic Novice equipment and the first box in the beginner-support chain.

First Aid Box — Lv.5 to Lv.95

The First Aid Box is a level-by-level support chain. Every box from Lv.5 through Lv.90 gives the next box, while the Lv.95 box is the final one.

These First Aid Boxes are restricted beginner items and cannot be freely dropped, traded, stored, mailed, auctioned or placed into a cart.

After Lv95 — Beginner Support Continues Through Achievements

The First Aid Box chain ends at Lv95. At Base Level 100, a separate support progression begins through the Achievement System.

Reach Base Level 100 → open Achievement → claim The start of another adventure! → receive

Beginner Support Box (100). That box leads into the Lv110 and Lv120 support boxes.

Criatura Academy

After the opening tutorial, continue to Izlude and visit the Rune-Midgarth Royal Criatura Academy. New adventurers are directed toward iz_ac01 100,39.

How to find: Register with Sprakki before using the Academy first-job representatives.

Registration introduces the Academy and provides additional beginner support. After registering, continue through the Academy and prepare for your first job.

First Job Change — Academy Route

Requirement: Novice Job Level 10 and Basic Skill Lv.9. You must also complete the Academy registration.

RagnaKon lets a Novice perform the first job change directly inside iz_ac02. This is the recommended beginner route.

The Academy representatives also allow you to choose the traditional Job Guild route instead. The direct Academy route is faster, while the traditional first-job quest can be useful if you specifically want to experience the original class quest.

Second Job Change — Manual Class Quest

There is no universal Job Master for your second job. Once your first job is ready, travel to the appropriate class guild and complete the normal job-change quest. Second-job quests generally become available from Job Level 40; reaching Job Level 50 first is recommended so you do not give up first-job skill points.

Achievement System

Achievements are worth checking as you level. They cover general progression, exploration, battle, quests, memorial content and other milestones. Some achievements award items or titles in addition to Achievement Score.

Achievement button in the top-right interface — 1. Open Achievement from the top-right interface.

Achievement summary screen — 2. Browse Summary, General, Adventure, Battle, Quest, Memorial and Feat categories.

Claiming an Achievement reward — 3. Select a completed achievement and press **Claim Reward**.

Achievement Score also raises your overall Achievement Level. Do not forget to manually claim completed rewards from the Achievement window.

Rebirth / Transcendent Class

Normal eligibility: you must be a normal second job at Base Level 99 and Job Level 50. Before the final Valkyrie step, all unused skill points must be spent.

RagnaKon keeps both ways to gain access to the Book of Ymir: pay the traditional library donation or complete the alternative library quest.

Route A — Pay 1,285,000z

Go to Metheus Sylphe at yuno_in02 88,164.
Choose to donate 1,285,000 Zeny.
After payment, go to the Book of Ymir at yuno_in02 93,207.
Read the Book to enter the Hall of Honor.
Speak with Valkyrie at valkyrie 48,86 to rebirth.

Route B — Complete the Library Quest

Talk to Metheus Sylphe at yuno_in02 88,164.
Take the alternative dialogue route instead of paying 1,285,000z.
Accept quest 5160 and hunt one Runaway Book.
Receive Caught Book [6586] automatically when the correct monster is defeated.
Return to Metheus and hand the book over.
Read the Book of Ymir, reach the Heart of Ymir, then enter the Hall of Honor.

Rebirth Quest Walkthrough — Runaway Book Route

This is the free alternative to paying the 1,285,000z library donation. You only need to complete it once to receive permission to read the Book of Ymir.

Start at Metheus Sylphe

Go to Metheus Sylphe in the Juno library at yuno_in02 88,164. You must already meet the normal Rebirth eligibility of Base Level 99 / Job Level 50 on a normal second job.

Choose the Free Quest Route

Follow these dialogue choices:

Can't we just look at it? › But not that much money. › I will do anything. › I'll look for it. › Aren't you worried about the escaped book?

Metheus will then register quest 5160. Make sure the quest is active before hunting.

Hunt a Runaway Book

Runaway Book uses monster ID 2414. One is spawned at a random location on each of the supported fields, so you do not need to search every map—find and defeat one.

How the spawn works: the Runaway Book has no fixed coordinate. It appears at a random walkable location on the field. The spawn scripts are designed to bring it back shortly after it is killed, so if you cannot find it immediately, keep searching the map.

Receive the Caught Book

When you defeat a Runaway Book while quest 5160 is active, Caught Book [6586] is placed directly into your inventory as long as you do not already have one.

It is not a normal ground drop. You do not need to pick anything up from the floor after the kill.

Return to Metheus Sylphe

Return to yuno_in02 88,164. His dialogue will now include I have found a book. Choose it and hand over Caught Book [6586].

The Caught Book is removed, quest 5160 is cleared, and you receive permission to read the Book of Ymir.

Read the Book of Ymir

Go to the Book of Ymir at yuno_in02 93,207 and read through it. Afterward, continue through the path to the Heart of Ymir at yuno_in05 49,43.

Touching the Heart of Ymir after the Book has been completed sends you to the Hall of Honor.

Speak with Valkyrie

In the Hall of Honor, speak with Valkyrie at valkyrie 48,86.

For the normal Rebirth route, you must have 0 Zeny, 0 carried weight, no Pushcart, no Falcon, no riding mount, and no unused Skill Points. Valkyrie will then change you into High Novice.

Short version: Metheus → accept quest 5160 → kill one Runaway Book → receive Caught Book → return to Metheus → Book of Ymir → Heart of Ymir → Valkyrie.

Before talking to Valkyrie: the normal rebirth route requires 0 carried weight, 0 Zeny, no Pushcart, no Falcon and no riding mount. Paying the library donation or completing the Runaway Book quest only gives you access to the Book of Ymir—it does not remove these final rebirth conditions.

What Should I Do While Leveling?

Illusion Dungeons High-level dungeon access from Base Lv100+, with story quests, Illusion materials and Investigation missions. Illusion Investigation Team Join Commander Joel and complete repeatable 100-kill Illusion missions for Base and Job EXP. City Investment & Union Weapons Earn Tokens of Union, invest in nine cities, and unlock city-specific Union weapons and equipment. Free Cash Points Learn how Voting Rewards and the Streamer Program let players earn Cash Points without donating. Voting Rewards Support RagnaKon on GTOP100 and choose free Hourly Points or a Cash Point after a verified vote. Beginner Equipment & Shadow Set Claim the Lv100 support box, obtain the armor set and weapon, then unlock the full Shadow set at Lv120. Beginner's Weapon Manager At Lv100, exchange the Beginner voucher for your class weapon and safely refine it to +7 at Lv110. Eden Group Join Eden, use mission boards, obtain Paradise Equipment and learn its services. Hunting Missions Take four-target missions and earn Gold Points while you level. QoL Features Fast Sitting Regen, World Tour Ticket, useful commands, Autotrade and database tools. Episode Progression / Skip Check Adventure Guide first, then continue normally or use the optional Episode Skip system.

A Simple New-Player Checklist

Keep your First aid Box (5) and open each new box when you reach its level.

Complete the opening tutorial and register with Sprakki in Criatura Academy.

Reach Novice Job 10 + Basic Skill 9 and choose your first job inside the Academy.

Join Eden Group and begin working toward Paradise Equipment.

At first-job Job Level 40–50, complete your manual second-job quest.

Check the Achievement window regularly and claim completed rewards.

At 99/50, choose the 1,285,000z donation or the Runaway Book quest for Rebirth.

Continue through Transcendent / later job progression, Eden content and the Episode story.

Continue Into Episode Story

Once your character is ready for the main story, use the Episode Progression Guide to follow Episode 16.1 through the current Episode 17.2 content in order.
